Safe Haven Farm is truly vested in the future of the American Alpaca Industry.  A large part of our industry is growth through new breeders entering the business.  There is no better teacher than experience; we offer our experience to help you begin your farm and your alpaca business.

Some things to consider are:

A Business Plan - as with any business, the business plan sets costs, goals and expectations for growth.  The lack of a business plan is like trying to drive somewhere without a map.  You may know the general direction you want to go and where you want to end up...but you are bound to get lost along the way.

A Marketing Plan - a marketing plan and business plan are not the same thing.  In fact, your marketing plan and business plan work together for your success.  A great marketing plan is the basis for your business, your image and your key to success.

Basic Start-Up Needs - while the basics may seem obvious, you would be surprised at the things you will need that you will not consider.  Tools and supplies that will be often used and better to have on hand.

Preparing yourself for showing - being ready to walk in the show ring is more than having a high quality alpaca to show.  Knowing what to expect and how to get ready will go a long way to improving your success.

Alpaca Care & Handling - from basic care to knowing what to do when your alpaca is not well, knowledge about what to look for and what to do reduces vet costs and increases your confidence.  Spending time working with alpacas, handling them and interacting with them.

We offer our services to anyone that is looking for help.  Individuals that purchase alpacas from Safe Haven Farm will receive our services at no cost in most cases.

We have a minimal charge of $25.00 an hour for advanced work. 

Anyone can come and spend time with us, working with our alpacas to learn more and be a better breeder.  We also have a "Ask A Question" option on the menu if you have a specific question we can answer for you.
